Propelling America's Workforce: The ATDM Impact

Join industry peers and defense leadership as we explore best practices for student recruitment and workforce pipeline development. Attracting and training qualified individuals to build and maintain the Navy fleet is a national security imperative. Integrating technology to relieve current workforce shortfalls and overcome supply chain challenges is a key driver to maintaining the operational capability of those assets.

The Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing Program (ATDM) and the Navy Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence (AM CoE) have been established to train the future workforce and operationalize an innovation hub for advanced manufacturing.

Located at the Institute for Advanced Learning and Research (IALR) in Danville, Virginia, these projects are moving forward under the direction of the Navy’s Maritime Industrial Base Program.
