The United States Navy broke ground on a new regional training center for the Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) program in Danville, Virginia.
Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro, office of the Secretary of Defense, state and local government officials, and defense industry partners gathered in Danville, Virginia for the third annual Accelerated Training in Defense Manufacturing (ATDM) and Additive Manufacturing Center of Excellence (AM CoE) Summit, Oct. 11.
A new facility will train 800 to 1,000 students per year in accelerated four-month programs to help fill critical vacancies across the defense industry.
